What is a Postpartum Doula?

According to Postpartum Support International, a postpartum doula "receive[s] training about emotions and mental health, and in many communities, they can help women find additional resources for mental health needs during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The goal of the doula is to help families feel supported and informed throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and after loss."

Do you perform any physical examinations?

No. I am licensed to guide and support you, and cannot give any physical examinations.

How will hiring you affect my partner’s role after the birth?

I love to work with families to gain a better understanding of how to help foster the role of the non-birthing partner after the birth of the baby (ex. babywearing, bath time, feeding while caregiver pumps).

How long can you work with my family?

I am certified to work with families as long you desire a postpartum doula.

As a lactation counselor, I would be happy to support you for as long as your breastfeeding journey continues.

Do you do payment plans?

Yes! I would be happy to work out a payment plan with you. All of my services have suggested pricing, but ultimately, 4th Trimester Doula will work with you to create the ideal package and price.

What time of day can you come over to help?

I can work virtually at any time of day, including the weekends. Let's start today!
